The idea
An Applicant Tracking System, or ATS, is software that companies use to collect, sort, and search job applications. Think of it like a giant email inbox with a search bar. When a recruiter needs "project manager with budget experience," they search inside the ATS, and only resumes that match those words rise to the top. Your resume is a document being read by a search tool first, and a person second.
